DEATH NOTICES - general information about deceased will contain his /her full name, spouse (if any) decendants such as: children, siblings, grand children (if any) name of funeral home, church services, location of cemetery and time of burial. Placement of death notices in newspapers are done with persmission of surviving family/relatives. The funeral home provides this service for a fee.
OBITUARIES - a researchers dream when available. The information is more biographical in presentation. In general, full name, date and place of birth, length of residence in city, spouse name if any (married date or lenght of marriage) names of children, siblings.military service etc. Obituaries were selected especially if the deceased held a prominent position for example as: doctor, lawyer, buisness owner, governmental, teacher and thru there lifetime made a major contributon to society.
